A Walk After A Storm

January 12, 2021

Canemah Bluff Natural Area and the Willamette Falls

I walk every day, and at least once a week loop through the Canemah Bluff Natural Area, then back via Old Canemah Park which offers a stunning vew of the Willamette Falls.

The Cormorants are fascinating to watch for where they might be congregating depending upon the water level and and which perches are protruding above the splash.

Prior to this this particular day, there had been a full night of rain, and so the mosses were irridescent and the between the overcast skies and dripping twigs and winter buds, the overall eeriness was sublime.

I also had the pleasure of following a busy Black Phoebe along the trail, who would allow me to get close then would fly off to the next tree branch
