Bio 313 Forest Canopy Ecophysiology: Reed College Drone Mapping and Modeling Lab

I've had fun participating with Professor Aaron Ramirez and his Bio 313 course "Forest Canopy Ecophysiology."

While a portion of the students are gaining their tree climbing certification, I worked with five students who learned remote sensing techniques to build graphical "digital twins" of mature trees. These 3D models improve our abillity to measure and compare trees in ways that are faster and more accurate than the traditional manual mmeasurements.
